The pilgrimage is upon us! Get ready to dust off your wellies and dig out your glitter, because Glastonbury 2024 is here. Buckle up for five glorious days (June 26th-30th) of music, mud, and merrymaking at Worthy Farm, Somerset. This year marks a historic moment – for the first time ever, women lead the lineup, a powerful testament to the ever-evolving festival.

Headliners like Shania Twain, the queen of country pop, and the iconic Coldplay promise to light up the Pyramid Stage. But Glastonbury is so much more than just the big names. With over 70 stages scattered across the vast festival site, there’s something for everyone. From up-and-coming indie bands at the BBC Introducing stage to pulsating electronic beats at The Park, prepare for a sonic odyssey.

Don’t forget the legendary Other Stage, where alternative rock and indie darlings will take center stage. Feel the vibrant energy at West Holts, a haven for all things left-field and experimental. And if you’re seeking global sounds, Glasto Latino delivers the perfect fiesta.

Glastonbury isn’t just about music. Get lost in a world of theatrical marvels at the Circus Field, or be captivated by powerful spoken word at the Poetry Corner. Belly up to the world-famous food stalls, offering everything from classic festival fare to delectable global cuisine.

Remember, Glastonbury is more than just a festival – it’s a feeling. It’s a chance to let loose, embrace the unexpected, and create memories that will last a lifetime. So, pitch your tent, grab your reusable water bottle (remember, sustainability is key at Glasto!), and get ready to experience the magic of Worthy Farm!

Date, TIme and Venue of Glastonbury 2024

Glastonbury 2024 takes place at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset, England. The festival runs for five days, from Wednesday, June 26th to Sunday, June 30th, 2024.

    Glastonbury 2024 TV Channels

Thankfully, you don’t need to worry about flipping through countless channels to catch Glastonbury 2024. The BBC will be your one-stop shop for all things Glastonbury on TV!

    Here’s what you can expect:

    • BBC iPlayer: This online platform offers the most comprehensive coverage. Expect live streams from the five main stages (Pyramid, Other, Park, West Holts, Woodsies) alongside exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes content, and a curated stream of highlights on a dedicated Glastonbury Channel.
    • BBC One and BBC Two: These channels will showcase live coverage of the headliners and some of the bigger acts throughout the weekend.
    • Classic Glastonbury Channel: This 24/7 channel, available on BBC iPlayer and potentially other BBC platforms, features archive footage from iconic Glastonbury performances to keep you pumped up for the live action.

Who is headlining this year’s Glastonbury?

Friday night will see Dua Lipa headline the Pyramid Stage, from 10-11.45pm, with Coldplay topping the bill on Saturday, from 9.45-11.45pm. On Sunday SZA will be closing the festival, from 9.30-11.15pm. Meanwhile, the legends spot on the Sunday is taken by Shania Twain, from 3.45-5pm.

Bands headlining the smaller stages include Idles, Disclosure, The National, Jungle. Jessie Ware, Gossip, Fontaines DC and London Grammar.

    Drone Show To Open Glastonbury

    2024 ON JUNE 26, WEDNESDAY AT 10:30PM

Glastonbury Festival is delighted to announce that a drone show will celebrate the opening of Glastonbury 2024 at 10.30pm on Wednesday evening, June 26th. The show, designed by local company Celestial who were also responsible for the drones in London’s official 2023 NYE display, is inspired by themes of peace and togetherness – ideas which lie at the heart of this year’s Festival.

The spectacle will feature 576 drones, flying at heights ranging from 30 metres to 105 metres and will take place after sun down, ahead of the traditional fireworks. Head to the Pyramid Field early to watch the sun set and get the best views of the show.
